Nisse Greenberg’s an #Adult is a cry for help operating under the auspices that it is both a storytelling show and that Nisse Greenberg understands what the word “auspices” means. Nisse just turned 30, got married (sortof), moved into a two bedroom apartment outside of New York City, and is thinking about becoming a foster parent to cats. His career seems to be going okay and he doesn’t do a lot of the destructive things that he used to do that made his life seem like an endurance art project analyzing the concept of laziness. There must be a reason that his life is so together. It probably has something to do with privilege, but it also has to do with those Seamless ads on the subway. They are ruining everybody else enough that Nisse is able to get ahead. Something like that. This show is a conspiracy theory about how come Nisse is happy despite all of his best efforts not to be.
